Lasergolf is designed to run only on a PC (not an Apple Mac, or on a games console such as Sony Playstation, Microsoft Xbox, or Nintendo 64), and under specific Microsoft Windows operating systems (not Linux or other operating system).
Only the following Windows operating systems are supported:
Windows ME
Windows 2000
Windows XP Home or Professional
Lasergolf may work under other versions of Windows (such as Windows 95 or 98), but we will not guarantee it.
Your PC hardware should include the features in the sidebar on the left.
Getting the best
Games software generally makes heavy demands on a computer. To appreciate Lasergolf at its best, your PC should be better than this minimum - see the Good Performance sidebar.
The one item which makes a big difference is the graphics accelerator or video card, which provides a separate processor and memory to speed up graphics processing - which is what you see on your display screen.
If your PC doesn't have a decent video card, don't despair - you can get one for around $50 or less which will do a fine job, and they are simple to install.
Got a laptop or notebook computer?
Notebook computers sacrifice flexibility for size and weight - they're typically not upgradeable. So if yours doesn't have a graphics card (and it uses shared video memory) then there's not much you can do.
An increasing number of newer notebooks do provide a graphics card option - so check the specifications if you're buying one to play Lasergolf at the office!
